Then and Now

Speaking from the heart, Kimberley will share her story of how she began using alcohol and drugs at an early age to cope with her anger and shame. What began as an escape from reality quickly escalated into a criminal lifestyle with no support from family or friends, and resulted in over 12 years spent in the justice system.

Kimberley was released over 10 years ago and hasn't looked back since. She obtained her Peer Support Certificate in 2009 and has advanced in her career, holding a leadership position where she now develops programs and educates the community on reducing barriers to success for justice involved individuals.
